How to glaze a window with Wedge Beader.
Before you start
Make sure the uPVC window frame is clean, free of debris, and securely fixed in place. Check the glazing and beads are clean and free of debris or damage.
Step 1. Install the Glazing Packers
Insert glazing packers into the frame rebate where the glass will sit.
Step 2. Insert the glass
Carefully lift the glass pane and place it into the frame on top of the packers. Make sure the glass is centred with an even gap around all edges.
Step 3. Fit the Glazing Beads
Start with the top bead, then the bottom, and finally the sides. Flex the bead into the corners of the frame. Push the Wedge Beader into the groove at one end of the bead and gently tap the bead into the UPVC frame with a hammer. Move the Wedge Beader along the bead, gently tapping the bead in as you go until the whole bead has snapped into the frame.
Step 4. Finishing up
Once all beads are in, gently press on the glass to ensure there is no movement. Carefully wipe the glass clean with window spray and a clean microfibre cloth.
